Weldco-Beales Manufacturing Announces Appointment of Chris Goodwin as President
Edmonton, AB – Thursday, March 12, 2026 – Weldco‐Beales Manufacturing (Weldco) announces the appointment of Chris Goodwin as President, effective immediately. Goodwin succeeds Shawn Petrie, who has served as President since 2024. Although he will be missed, Petrie will continue to support Weldco during this leadership transition, and he will remain involved as an executive of Weldco’s ownership group, the Inuvialuit Development Corporation (IDC).
“Chris brings deep industry experience and a strong track record of operational leadership,” said Petrie. “This decision was made by design and represents the next step in Weldco’s strategic plan. As the company continues to grow, Chris’ experience will further strengthen operations and support the next phase of development. On behalf of IDC leadership, I look forward to working with him and bringing our shared vision to life.”
Goodwin brings more than sixteen years of experience leading manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams in the heavy‐equipment industry. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening Weldco’s operational capabilities and expanding capacity to support growing customer demand. This work will position the company to continue delivering durable, innovative attachments and solutions that help customers keep their machines working productively in demanding environments. Goodwin has held leadership roles on both the equipment dealership and supplier sides of the industry, working closely with customers and equipment partners to improve operational performance and deliver reliable, high‐quality
solutions.
